Terroir will tell....Harvested at the edge of the Meursault appellation, this generic Burgundy punches well above its rank. 88/89 A wine of a pale gold color with crystalline glints, shadings of green and a fade tending toward translucent. The nose is remarkable for its finesse and frankness with a lovely fruity aromatic background in which you'll find notes of dried fruit, apples, confit of angelica and white mint.This same purity is apparent on the palate with lovely balance between the maturity of the substance and the freshness of the structure. France Bourgogne Chardonnay Domaine Amiot Servelle White
Known for his great red wines, Christian Amiot also makes a very fine white Chardonnay, refined, elegant and luscious, with loads of freshness: it's pure pleasure. Christian and Elisabeth Amiot produce wine from some of the best Cote de Nuits appellations, their estate including around 7 hectares of vineyards scattered over numerous parcels between Chambolle Musigny and Vougeot. They employ environmentally-friendly A wine of a pronounced gold color with a fade tending towards silvery tones. The nose already reveals superbly developed aromas, with notes of purée of apples, tropical fruit, butter and grilled hazelnuts, complemented after aeration by notes of bees wax or white pepper. On the palate the wine is supple and rich, punctuated by a lovely acidity. In retro-olfaction there are the samearomas as were apparent in the nose. The finish has a honeyed character, lending an unmistakable racy note to the whole. This is a wine for amateurs of mature Chardonnay.
