Spain Clos Montblanc Cabernet Merlot Premium Red
The 2000 vintage, of greater overall maturity, offers a lovely, harmonious range of aromas. A well balanced wine that is ready to drink now. The estate was one of the first to follow Miguel Torres's lead and drop the time-honored practice of exclusively pairing certain grape varieties with a given region, introducing non-traditional varietals to the country and thereby adding diversity to the Iberian wine scene. Chardonnay, as well as the Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were introduced with success to this small but promising appellation, Conca de Barbera. The positive results of the change have been evident for several years. A wine of a ruby color of good intensity with glints of violet and shadings of mauve at the edge of the glass. A wine that has retained a youthful appearance. Bright and limpid. The nose presents rather more finesse than power initially with deli

Spain Luis Cañas Gran Reserva Red
The trick with the best Spanish wines is to have them as gifts when they are ready to drink. That's the case for this Gran Réserva. Rioja has been producing wines for 2000 years and was the first region in Spain to receive DOC status (Denominacion de Origen Calificada). It was around about the middle of the 17th century that the region's reputation for quality wines was first documented. Two hundred years later, the bodegas introduced new methods of vinification and maturation of wines in what was, until then, a very artisanal wine region. Luis Canas is one of the rising star of the appellation. A wine of a luminous ruby color with glints of orange that fade to the edge of the glass. A unique color, bright and limpid, displaying lovely concentration of substance. You'll enjoy the nose for its current complexity with its notes of gray pepp
